Finally My New Goodies................

So finally I got around to getting some pictures of my new goodies....as I walked around my house I was trying to remember what is new because some of the stuff I have had for a couple months. And I am not very good with a camera when getting new items because as fast as I get home they go up. I went a little over board with the pictures but hey once I started I couldn't stop! Hope you enjoy!

So first I got my new yellow cupboard. I really enjoy it. I also purchased some pewter from ebay and decided to put it in there. I like how the barn red back ground makes the pewter pop.

New brown crock bowls I purchased at a flea market for $6 for the set. I have an addiction to bowls!!! I am going to keep expanding my collection this weekend when I head up North!

I love the brown bowls on the top.

My new pewter. I think I will be seeing more of this as I really enjoy collecting it.

I purchased this lamb & basket from Dana at Homespun Treasures. She has some awesome stuff and all of it is scented so nicely!! Thanks Dana I love the lamb! Also had some easter bunnies but they long put away!

Old books I purchased at a yard sale! Very cool reading them and how old they are!

Pineapple's I purchased when I went to Shipshewana the end of May. They aren't were I want them but I will eventually find the right place for them.

Ok so this is my new stoveboard I made. My flash on my camera kept giving me a huge glare on it so I did it from an angle. I really like to cover up my fireplace for the summer.

I purchased this bowl full of grubby fruit from ebay and also some more new books from the yardsale.

My summer display on my stove board. Purchased the watermelon slices from ebay and I made the huge slice on the old scale from a piece of wood from my father-in-laws tree.

My basket that I got from Hobby Lobby, Cherry's I got from Target. Box Wood Wreath came from Janet at Winter Willow Primitives. She has some awesome stuff if you haven't checked her out please do so. Prairie Bonnet is from Ebay.

My redware hooked rug from the internet! I love them and keep adding them slowly to my decor!

My new large dough bowl that I also bought in Shipshewana. Love it. Also purchased the dried gourds from the same booth!

My hutch out in my 4 season's room. I need to paint it badly but just haven't gotten to it just yet.

My new 6 arm candle mold that I purchased in Shipshewana. I could have brought that whole booth home with me.

Wild Turkey feathers from my brother-in-law. He shot it so I asked him if I could have some feather's from it before he through it to the coyotes. We only eat the breast from them as the rest of the meat is to tough.

My spice drawer that I purchased at the goodwil for $2 was already painted so I didn't have to do anything to it!!!

My antique slicer that I purchased from an antique store in downtown Shipshewana for $12. Went uptown that day with $13 and bought that for $12 so I came home with a dollar!!! I love Shipshewana and look forward every year to go. If you haven't been you should go, the shops downtown are gorgeous and I just found a couple prim shops so that is where I will be headed next year when I go again!

Anyways that's it for me today! Hope you all enjoyed seeing my new goodies!

Have a great Canada Day & 4th of July!

Have a good one!

My Last Garden of the Year!

Well I have completed my last flower bed for the season. Unless I can talk my husband into another one but we have some other things that need to be done so I will leave him unlone for the rest of this season. It turned out really well and all I have to say is I had 2 swollen hands from digging up all that grass. My arthritis isn't a fan of gardening but I am not giving it up no matter how much I suffer afterwards. That's what pain medicine is for right!!

Anyways take a look and let me know what you think of my new bed!!!

My welcome basket as you enter the backyard from the patio. My marigolds are doing great this year!!! Hope they keep it up!

If you have never had these straw flowers you should really try them. I think they are the neatest thing. My son picked them out. When it's cloudy they don't fully open up but when the sun is out they are out in full. The petals don't really die off and if they do they are underneath so you never see them. Kind of cool.

I can't wait for my peonies to bloom next year. They are going to be beautiful. Light pink, white and fuscia.

The other side. Didn't want to put up both sides of split rail fence just incase someone or something had to get through that spot and then couldn't because of the fence.

Another view looking at my new fence and garden. It reallys finishes the patio off! Makes me smile looking at it!

My first Cana Lilies, they only get to be about 2 feet tall. I have always admired them but never really thought to plant them. So when I seen them at the greenhouse I thought I should try some this year.

My black eyed susan's that are annuals. These are one of my favorite flowers this time of year! They kind of make me think of fall looking at them!

My cast iron bean pot that I purchased at an Antique Store. I love using it outside in the summer and bringing it in, in the winter to sit on top of my woodstove filled with water, cinnamon, cloves & vanilla to send off a great aroma. If you haven't tried it you should.

Well I can tell you that my next post will be of my new items I have gotten the past couple of months!! Finally got around to taking them this am. So hopefully this week I can get them on here so you can see alittle bit of the inside of my home.

Have a great rest of the weekend! Canada Day is coming quickly and for you American's the 4th of July. So I am sure there is a lot of planning going on this week for big celebrations!

Enjoy & have a great week!

Garden Photo's Part 3

Ok so I lied, I decided to take some more pics of garden's and things that I have in my gardens on the weekend. I love being outside and enjoying this beautiful weather!

The first picture is of my home! It's not my dream home but it's working well to make our dreams come true and I have made our house our home! I like to make it warm and welcoming where you can enter as a stranger but leave as a friend!

My little toad stools that my daughter won at a craft show! The lady through in the lady bug for free for Avery.

My garden flag that I change up with the ever changing season's that we have in Southern Ontario!

This split rail fence is the one that was in the Spring Edition of A Primitive Place Magazine! I also like to change it up with the season's! Can't wait to decorate it for Fall! My favorite time of the year!

All I can say is I love Prim Bird Houses!!!!

This is my daugther's little garden that she kind of takes care of!!! She likes to help water flowers!

One of my many hosta beds!!!

My heart shaped basket holder that I bought years ago in Shipshewana.

Ok so I woke up Saturday morning early because Friday night I drove by an old house and seen a sign that said Yard Sale Tomorrow. So of course I wanted to get there early. Ha I was the first one there and they were just bringing stuff out. So I stuck around and waited. Picked up this old barrel which works perfect for my basket of flowers and the old oil can along with another watering can and old rusty bucket all for $10. Love the old barrel it's my favorite!

My old strawberry baskets from my grandpa! Filled with marigolds and salvia!

And last I made all my kids sit so I could get a good picture of them, my daughter as you can see likes to make funny faces. So that was the best I could get while the dog sat still!

Well that's it and I will be back with one more garden post as my hubby has let me add another bed into our back yard. I wanted some peonies and also to make it a little easier for him to cut the grass around the back patio so I told him what I was thinking and he was fine with it!!! So hopefully tomorrow night I can get him to put in the split rail for me then I can work my magic once again!!!

I hope to get some pictures of my new goodies soon! But it won't be until I can stay inside long enough to take them!!!

Have a great day!

Some Garden Photo's Part 2

Good Morning again! Wow 2 post's in 2 days that's pretty good for me! Well since I feel like I live outside now I was out and about this am pretty early and thought I would take some more garden photo's of things I missed yesterday.

So I hope you enjoy another tour of my yard and my back patio!

This wheelbarrow is in my front flower bed that is up by the road! I got the old wheelbarrow from my parents neighbor she couldn't carry it anymore so she purchased a lighter one!

Welcome to my back patio! More geraniums, marigolds and purple salvia!

Need I say more!

My old wash tub! Love filling it with all that different seasonal decor!

This window box on my garage get's to be a pain throughout summer as anything I plant in it dries out so fast and I can never water it enough to keep it from looking horrible so I decided to just add items that would look good all summer long!

My old chair I picked up out of the trash on my way home from work! And a old coal bucket I picked up at an Antique store!

Well that's the end of my tour for today! I do have some more area's but need better lighting! So stay tuned for more garden pic's!

Wishing everyone a glorious day! Get out and enjoy the sunshine!

Have a good one,
