I made these and love them................

So after purchasing my new country sampler May 2011 edition and seen Janice's (Stair way to Home) diningroom table with the two topiary trees on them and also a couple other bloggers Linda (Behind my Red Door) and Kimberlee (The Patriot Homeplace) had these trees I really liked them. So I searched on the internet but being from Canada the shipping was going to be ridiculous to purchase them. So I researched them and went over them a couple times thinking they don't look that hard to make really. So on my lunch hour I went to the dollar store to see what I could find and to my surprise they had everything I needed. It cost me under $6 to make them both. The picture doesn't do them any justice. And I think for under $6 they look pretty good. After seeing how Janice tied gingham around the tops that was the perfect way to hide the tape that I needed to attach the greenery to the branches!

It was such an easy project and I am very proud of how they turned out!!!

Well that's it for today I will be back with my hallway makeover as I need to take some pics of it!

Have a great day!

  7. Hi Lynnle, Nice topiary, they came out great. Your header with the two pups is so sweet, but that Jersey just makes you want to bury your face in his fur. What a joy he must be. I saw your picture in APP. My gardens are featured in the next issue. They are on the previews, about 5 pics, from the white chairs to my porch. I am so excited, I just love the mag! Glad I found your blog.
    Hugs,
    Donna
