Fall Decor Part 2...................

So I have been lucky to be able to take some more indoor fall decorating that I have finished up! I haven't yet finished outside, just got started on the weekend and have yet to get my pumpkins & mums. I plan to finish that this week sometime.

I purchased a new pumpkin at Christmas Tree store over in Michigan on Friday and I only paid $9.99 for it. Of course they only had one of the orange or I would have bought more, I looked every where to see if there was any other sizes but this was it. It's sitting on my hearth behind my bean pot. I absolutely love it!

Here's a close up of my new pumpkin!

I added some bittersweet & pinecones to my old doughbowl filled with dried gourds for my livingroom coffee table.

Next is my windowsil in the kitchen. I love my piggy cutting boards so I kept them up for fall and just decorated around them. Love the wheat!!! Its one of my favorite things in the summer to be able to go out and cut some.

My small display on the fridge. Just added some bittersweet and indian corn.

My ironing board in my gathering room.

This is on my 12 gallon crock in my gathering room next to the couch.

Here's the whole wall that my ironing board is on. Can't wait to decorate it for Christmas!

This was on my livingroom table but I now have it on my bench in my 4 season's room instead. So people can feel welcomed when they enter.

My new pumpkin stitched pillow that I bought in Shipshewana in August when I went. I love it.

This is a display I set up on my cheese boxes next to my old round back chair. Love the gourd, picked it up at Hobby Lobby this past Friday as well as the acorns. And cut some fresh mums from my garden.

My corner cupboard display! Love the chandlier above with the lit candles.

Well that's it for my next round. I will show some pics of the sunroom once it's complete as well as my out doors! I love this weather and have spent alot of time outside doing yard work and cleaning up my flower beds. I hope to get all my stuff split that needs to be done this week and finish my decorating. I don't think I have ever been this late decorating outside but I wanted to wait for the cool weather to come so my pumpkins don't rot out on me!

Hope you all are loving this weather and can get out and enjoy it!

Have a great day

Some Fall Decor Part 1.........

Good Morning everyone, hope everyone had a great Labour Day weekend and I honestly can't believe it's almost the middle of September. Fall is beginning slowly. The pumpkins are being harvested, the corn is beginning to turn, the tobacco is being hung and soon the barns will be lit to send a wonderful smell through the air! I love this time of year and being able to leave the windows open to let the cool fresh air come in after having the house closed up with the air on.

I have began decorating for fall inside. Just finished up my upstairs livingroom and kitchen on the weekend. I have my 4 season's room left to do as I love to put the real stuff out there and also my outside. I try to wait until the middle of September to do this so my pumpkins don't go bad and I have to get new ones! My kids are pumped this year for Halloween and my son's birthday this year is going to be at our Annual Harvest Party so I am slowly preparing for that.

First is my fireplace mantle and hearth that my husband built me last year, this is the first time I got to decorate it for fall!! It took me a bit to find some stuff I really liked to add to it. But finally I am very happy with how it has turned out!

My gourd garland that my son and I created. He drilled all the horse chestnuts and I strung them on with the gourds!!! He loved helping me. My daugther was there to help me collect all the nuts!

Close up of the hearth!

Close up of the mantle!

My corner cupboard in the livingroom. I love the prairie doll and pumpkin hooked rug!

This is my table bench, I need to re-paint it as the colour of it I don't like. But just something simple as that is where we eat so it needs to be easy to move everyday!

My old writing desk. It's a amazing what a little bit of bittersweet can do to a display!

My hutch with my new yellow cupboard. Love how this display turned out.

My stoveboard. I think this is my favorite display yet!!! Love the old pumkin molds

I love the acorns as well got them last year up at a little shop in the town I live in!

Well that is it for my post of my fall decor part 1. I took lots of pictures but once I got them on the computer I didn't like them so much so I need to work on that alot. Got a new camera but just need to know how to work it properly!!

Hope everyone can get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather! I know I will!

Have a good one!

Feels Like Fall...............

Hello everyone, I am patiently awaiting the fall to arrive. Getting up in the mornings when it's about 55 degree's outside makes me so want the fall to arrive. I see more and more fall decor coming out in the stores. The kids have 4 weeks before they head back to school. Both of my kids will be in school this year and they are both so excited to head back to school and to start school for my daughter.

I usually get my stuff out the last week of August and have it put up just before Labour Day. I always take the last 2 weeks of August off so I like to do it while I am off and before the kids head back to school.

Summer seems to fly by. It's kind of crazy that once July is gone the summer is over in no time and things get back to normal. This September is going to be hectic for me, my husband has been accepted onto the local Police Department so he will be heading to Ontario Police College for 3 months. It's an exciting time for us as we have been waiting for this since last October when he applied with them. It's a very long process but well worth the wait when at the end you are hired! My daugther also starts Junior Kindergarten as well with my son going into Grade 2. I have 3 people to get ready for school this year. And I am going to be on my own from September 6th to December 1st. He will be able to come home for the weekends but we all know how fast they go, this is going to fly bye and he will be home with us in no time! I am excited for him and very proud of him all the hard work he has done to be a Police Officer has finally paid off!

Well I will leave you with some fall pics that I found that I just love and are really getting me into the fall mood!

Take care & have a good one!

Finally My New Goodies................

So finally I got around to getting some pictures of my new goodies....as I walked around my house I was trying to remember what is new because some of the stuff I have had for a couple months. And I am not very good with a camera when getting new items because as fast as I get home they go up. I went a little over board with the pictures but hey once I started I couldn't stop! Hope you enjoy!

So first I got my new yellow cupboard. I really enjoy it. I also purchased some pewter from ebay and decided to put it in there. I like how the barn red back ground makes the pewter pop.

New brown crock bowls I purchased at a flea market for $6 for the set. I have an addiction to bowls!!! I am going to keep expanding my collection this weekend when I head up North!

I love the brown bowls on the top.

My new pewter. I think I will be seeing more of this as I really enjoy collecting it.

I purchased this lamb & basket from Dana at Homespun Treasures. She has some awesome stuff and all of it is scented so nicely!! Thanks Dana I love the lamb! Also had some easter bunnies but they long put away!

Old books I purchased at a yard sale! Very cool reading them and how old they are!

Pineapple's I purchased when I went to Shipshewana the end of May. They aren't were I want them but I will eventually find the right place for them.

Ok so this is my new stoveboard I made. My flash on my camera kept giving me a huge glare on it so I did it from an angle. I really like to cover up my fireplace for the summer.

I purchased this bowl full of grubby fruit from ebay and also some more new books from the yardsale.

My summer display on my stove board. Purchased the watermelon slices from ebay and I made the huge slice on the old scale from a piece of wood from my father-in-laws tree.

My basket that I got from Hobby Lobby, Cherry's I got from Target. Box Wood Wreath came from Janet at Winter Willow Primitives. She has some awesome stuff if you haven't checked her out please do so. Prairie Bonnet is from Ebay.

My redware hooked rug from the internet! I love them and keep adding them slowly to my decor!

My new large dough bowl that I also bought in Shipshewana. Love it. Also purchased the dried gourds from the same booth!

My hutch out in my 4 season's room. I need to paint it badly but just haven't gotten to it just yet.

My new 6 arm candle mold that I purchased in Shipshewana. I could have brought that whole booth home with me.

Wild Turkey feathers from my brother-in-law. He shot it so I asked him if I could have some feather's from it before he through it to the coyotes. We only eat the breast from them as the rest of the meat is to tough.

My spice drawer that I purchased at the goodwil for $2 was already painted so I didn't have to do anything to it!!!

My antique slicer that I purchased from an antique store in downtown Shipshewana for $12. Went uptown that day with $13 and bought that for $12 so I came home with a dollar!!! I love Shipshewana and look forward every year to go. If you haven't been you should go, the shops downtown are gorgeous and I just found a couple prim shops so that is where I will be headed next year when I go again!

Anyways that's it for me today! Hope you all enjoyed seeing my new goodies!

Have a great Canada Day & 4th of July!

Have a good one!
